    Has there been any movement on this request? As offices go paperless, it's more and more important to accurately categories office journal entries.

    There are so many reasons that we document in the office journal these days. The ability to add custom types is really imperative to properly categorize our entries. We find ourselves using Miscellaneous or Phone Call for everything... but at least half of those entries could be more effectively categorized. PLEASE allow for custom types, like you do "practice definitions". We feel this is one of the biggest flaws in Dentrix G6.

    I agree that this would be great. We recently had a schedule change that will go into affect in the fall, so we had to change the schedule as of today and place notes all over the place to account for the differences between the new and the old. We didn't have a choice, as we schedule 6-8 months in advance... but it was an administrative nightmare that left a lot of room for error.

    Not every practice uses insurance batches (as a fee-for-service office, we submit electronically in real-time after the appointment has been completed - which is how we move procedures from the treatment plan to the completed ledger), but I can appreciate that there should be some sort of optional validation so that each practice can adjust parameters based upon their individual standard procedures.

    This enhancement would be extremely helpful. Patients often call asking what the "balance forward" is for. It takes too much time to generate a custom billing statement from the office manager, so having the ability to set the balance forward date from the ledger statement option would be AWESOME and a huge time saver for our office staff. Thank you!

    Love this idea - right now we do the following steps to break an appointment: 1) make a note in the actual appointment notes regarding the reason for breaking the appointment 2) copy the note and create a journal entry for the broken appointment 3) assess a broken appointment fee in the ledger 4) break the appointment. If this could somehow all happen in tandem or at least #1, #2 and #4, it would be such a time saver. Thanks!

    PLEASE fix this. We just moved an adult "child" to his own Family File and even though all other family members had a zero balance, we got weird special adjustments that rendered ALL balances completely inaccurate.

    This would be great. The more information that can be included in the new patient information window, the better. Birthday, Insurance Company, etc would be amazing. We do not actually create a family file for the patient until they physically show up for the appointment and entering the information takes a lot longer than it would if we were able to get it in advance. Also helps greatly with being able to verify insurance. TY!

    Please devote some attention to this request. We understand why it would be important to not be able to change provider initials (for audit purposes), however, being able to "bulk" reassign patients to an alternate provider would be extremely helpful!

    The ability to email a ledger, statement or walk-out would be HIGHLY beneficial. Patients are constantly asking us to email them these items. Right now, it takes so much time because "send via email" is not an option.
