      If I understand the issue correctly here, It's because the items within a case are not being ignored on the report, and are still showing up as unscheduled treatment even though you have the first visit in a case scheduled, is that accurate?

        Thank you for the request. We added mobile phone and email to the New Patient Appointment information dialog in G6.

        Just to toss an idea out there, what if there was a new patient status that was called "New Patient" and it ONLY allowed patient information to be changed, no procedures could be posted, ect. Until the status was either manually changed, or changed via the completion of an appointment?

        This would allow all the fields available to a regular patient appointment to be applicable to a new patient.

        Again, this is just me tossing around ideas.

          Broken appointments are currently added to the patient's office journal, however it does not currently track deleted appointments in that location.

          Why is documenting the reason important for a broken appointment?

            Dr Goldberg makes a good point, however - this would still be helpful for documents that you manually upload (EOB's, received forms from patient, etc.)

                  Sorry for the delayed response Lisa, I've been with the company for 10 years now - I started as a part of our support team.

                  I asked what part of the change was problematic so that we could specifically identify why users might have negative reactions towards the update.

                    That's the problem, it cannot move the balances on transactions that are in history from one person to another, because of GAAP requirements, these transactions become locked when in history - So the only way to move balances on closed transactions is to apply adjustments.

                    If you've applied payments using an appropriate split payment method, such as FIFO and all transactions are in the history, you will have zero special adjustments.

                    I'm closing this request, as there are many others regarding the removal or improvement of the special adjustment process.

                              If you look at the function and flow of a dental front office, you will quickly see that there is not enough time for the front desk coordinator to get all the insurance verified, entered, etc. before the patient is brought back to an operatory and procedures begin being marked complete. This is creating more work for that team member who then has to manually correct all the fees for the procedures just marked complete by the clinical staff and do it before the claim is generated and sent. Need a button to allow any procedures marked complete that are not attached to an insurance claim yet to be updated with the click of a button according to the fee schedule default settings in the Patient File. This would allow the front desk to be much more efficient with practice time and resources.

                                  Hello All:

                                  I am happy to inform you that this is currently in development. There will be two phases to this project. The first phase is anticipated in Q1 2018 and the second phase in Q2 2018. We’ll keep you posted as things progress.

                                  Michael, we designed it that way so that our users could create medical alerts that are more broad, but still have specific information on each one. In this instance, you could create a new medical alert called "Medications", "Misc", or "Other" and put a note in there that gives details.

                                  Thank you for your feedback, it will be given consideration.

                                  I do apologize that it has been such a long time since this idea was updated, I will let you know the minute I hear something about it. But until then, lets keep the votes/comments rolling in!
