We are working on some plans that will include more backup space for images.

I agree!! too many clicks to get to that information. I think it would also be nice if the doctor information looked more like a typical profile page - with the ability to import a photo of the doctor, note what software they use, their hours, website, names of staff members, and a list of what that particular patient was referred for. The phone numbers should be hyperlinks for auto dial benefits.

good idea. !! One thing we have started doing is automatically entering the spouse as a 'non patient' in the family file - even if there is no insurance

I think, rather than have to make a note about frequency limitations, it would be nice to be able to enter the frequency limitation and have Dentrix recognize that perimeter - or note that nothing was entered in that perimeter. Then, as you try to sumbit the claim, a pop up would instantly alert you to let the patient know that they would not be eligible for benefits on that claim.

I wish it was a little easier to read and I wish it would also track when a patient is noted as 'here' vs. 'in tx', vs 'appt completed'. it would be nice to have the ability to track how long the patient's appointment "actually" took. So many times staff is frustrated that doctor's are not staying on schedule or that hygienists are rushing through patients too quickly. Then it's suggested for the front desk to try to keep track of it manually. One - they don't have time for that. Two - they are accused of being inaccurate. If Dentrix tracked this automatically it would help doctors better analyze time management for all providers.

we have this problem too. They call to confirm instead of clicking the button or they respond to the email. it is a little frustrating because it's not saving us quite as much time as we hoped. Going to try some different customizing to see if we can change these habits. They can't really move the button up on the email - it would look strange, maybe if it could be bigger ?? not sure what the best solution is.

That is a pretty good idea. not just tx from another doctor, but any document relative to that appt. maybe another doctor's last recall letter, xrays, photos, etc. you can make a note in the appointment, but it would be nice to have a single click that links them where they need to go.

This would be nice. referred to and referred by are not helpful when you want to list the patient's general dentist if you are a specialty practice, or list their orthodontist or periodontist for the ability to create correspondence quick letters to.

email would be nice for sure! also, along with 'correspondence sent to web' wouldn't it be nice to see a notation if the patient opens or responds to that email correspondence. or if they submit a survey listing their name. if DXweb allows an appointment to show confirmed, it would be nice to track or view that patients are filling out questionaires, responding to emails etc. - since this seems to be the 'see all' place in Dentrix

we currently use a Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner which is amazing, but the Dentrix twain driver isn't compatible - maybe because of the duplex scanning feature of ScanSnap. So we have to scan articles and then import them into the document center. it takes us twice as long because of this - a bit of a hassle, but scansnap will scan into multiple page pdf files or jpeg files.
