How can we improve eCentral?

'Office fee - Insurance allowable = write off and ability to estimate patient's portion.' has been merged into this idea

attachments

We need to be able to print attachments to claims or preestimates. (when you are notified that the insurance company does NOT accept attachments after you have eclaimed, if you want a hard copy for any other reason, you cannot print them up directly from attachments. You must open the chart and image and find them again. It is a hassle to try to pick the same one this way.

eclaims would be far more efficient if they would warn the sender that "the payor does not accept attachments" during the validation process.

I have requested that E-claims be able to accept attachments, print them and mail them in like they do for companies that do not accept electronic claims. It would be easier to send an electronic claim to E-Claims with an attachment for companies that do not accept electronic claims and electronic attachments. This way, you do not have to print attachements and claims and mail them in. E-claims could do this for you.

I agree, it would be much easier if you didn't have to open chat. Another thing, if attachments can not be accepted, I don't feel the claim should either. When you have to turn around and mail the claim w/xrays, charting, etc... the "e" claim gets there first. Insurance company has to send out a letter requesting records. By the time you receive the request, they have received the claim you had to mail with the records...it opens up another claim #. That can become a problem for the office, the patient and the insurance company to process quickly.
