How can we improve eCentral?

Allow ability to choose multiple payment type definitions when posting a payment through PowerPay

only allows you to choose one payment type..would be better if we could separate m/c visa disc amex into different definitions.

From a merged idea: Power Pay automatically posts payments to the account but it uses only one definition. Each type of credit card Visa, MC, Discover and Amex should be posted as such. We currently have to process the payment and then physically change each type of transaction in the ledger to reflect what type of credit card payment it is. At the end of the day batching, if you have an error there is no way to easily know what type of transaction without going through all the transactions. Moneris batch shows you each catagory of credit cards and we should have the ability in EasyDental/Dentrix to post in the same manner. All credit cards have a leading number to designate what type of card it is. Perhaps your programmers are not aware of this little fact. Visa always starts with a 4, Mastercard a 5, Amex a 3, Discover a 6. Perhaps there is a way to use the begining of the credit card that is swiped or keyed in to use a definition to post accordingling to the ledger and make catagorizing the payments more efficient and not an extra step along the way, that can result in unneccessary errors.
        Thanks

It is very inconvenient to have to make one more step to change the transaction from credit card to the appropriate credit card type.

After a transaction is approved in Power Pay, a screen pops up in Dentrix to correct provider, add notes, etc. It would be helpful to allow multiple payment options. Which would avoid having to reopen the payment after posted and change payment type.

Can we get power pay to add a second definition so that it will recognize Discover cards in the ledger instead of defaulting the payment to visa mastercard

      • Anonymous commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

This would make our posting of credit cards so much easier...as it is I have to change each CC post to Discover or American Express

      • AnonymousAnonymous commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Rather than having a default posting for all credit card charges (IE "Visa/Mastercard Payment" or "Credit Card Payment" have powerpay determine the card type and enter the ledger posting as "Visa Payment" or "Discover Payment" etc. The card type is already being read by the card swiping device.

PowerPayLE: Allow choice of credit card type from PowerPay screen w/out having to choose from office manager.

Of course, accuracy is the best policy! Having different definitions allows my office to better serve patients who need to look back at a specific transaction. It also helps my office to keep a record of transactions used.

I agree!!! Moneris (which I think means monopoly) statements reflect only MC/Visa charges and we have to manually separate out these in Dentrix to track CC processing.
