  1. flagging patients who are due for a medical history update

    We like to have an updated medical history for every patient every 2 years. Other than pulling every single chart to check for when the last update was done, it would be nice to have a place on dentrix to mark when they are due for a new med history update. The flag could come up on the patient chart just like when they are due for prophy or x-rays.

    • It would be wonderful if there was an area to add new patient insurance information without actually activating them as patients.

      Currently there is no way to add additional information for a new pt. It would be great to have a family file, with insurance available for new patients. This would allow new patients to receive treatment more efficiently.

      • DENTRIX stop changing things you shouldn't without warning

        Since my last CDT/ADA Code update, I've noticed that DENTRIX took it upon itself once again to make changes to parts of my program that (in my opinion) they SHOULD NOT BE MAKING CHANGES TO.

        When we upgraded to the current CDT codes, ALL of my customized descriptions were overwritten by abbreviations that someone else thought might be appropriate, instead of the abbreviations that have been in effect in my office for over 20 years!!!!!

        • Remove or Archive Providers no longer with the practice

          We have maximized our providers and are no longer able to add new providers. To make room for new providers, we would like to be able to archive deceased or inactive providers.

            This is definetly a valid request, and it’s an understandable pain point.

            I’d like to recommend you contact our support team though, they do have the ability to change Provider ID’s, which could potentially allow you to re-use some of the provider ID’s that weren’t used very much.

            Either way, I’ll make sure this is documented.

          • Utilities Check

            I've recently run into some problems with Dentrix and the only way check if there is something going wrong is to have everyone log out of Dentrix and let tech support run a program. I work in a very busy office and its not always feasible to shut the entire office down in the middle of the day if there is a problem with Dentrix. It would be easier if there was a quick check to determine if there is a problem that would require everyone log out to fix. Considering in the latest Dentrix 6.6 update allows you to…

                    I would like the Daily Huddle Report to have a option to sort by patient. That way all the pertinent information about that patient would be together instead of on separate pages.

                    • Changing a select range of codes on the fee schedule

                      It would be nice to be able to go in and select a certain range of codes to change the price on the fee schedule. Example: Select all the implant codes and increase them by 2% but not the rest of the fee schedule.

                      • When overriding a password - should be prompted to make a note why

                        When an employee asks me to override their password level and delete a claim form, Rx, payment, etc... A dialogue box should come up so that I can explain why I am deleting the item.

                          would be easier to view clinical notes as one instead of having to click on each one at a time.

                          • Add a pop up notification to a specific Insurance plan

                            It would be very helpful to have a pop up message associated with a specific insurance plan. For example- a quick note on frequencies or restrictions. Or to add the option of the insurance coverage notes as a pop up for the plan members.

                            • When recording changes in the Audit log, record the PC Name where the change occured.

                              Since I suspect that most offices do not log into the Dentrix app, it would be nice to look at the Audit log to see which PC Name made the logged change. That would be helpful in identifying who made a change.

                                It would be nice to have a yellow post it icon to put instant msg to front and back staff so it is a communication platform. Better than go through many clicks and look thru notes all the time. It is quite time consuming

                                  It would be nice if Dentrix Communication Manager (like Appointment Manager, Text messages, etc. on the Dx Web) wouldn't time out so quickly. Just a thought......

                                    This is for general feedback only:

                                    It would be helpful when calling in for tech support that the operator who initially takes our customer i.d. directs our call to a technician who has the corresponding version of our software loaded on their desktop. It would increase efficiency on both ends.

                                      After the patient initially fills out the registration and medical history forms on the kiosk, those forms should only appear once a year for that particular patient when they enter name and birthday (and under office control to appear for updating). This would be similar to the way Continuing care is associated with an initial date. Subsequently, the patient can use the kiosk to truly "check-in". We've had several complaints from patients on the length of time to just check in, especially those patients that are being seen frequently for treatment.

                                          Feedback and Knowledge Base
