We have started using the Diagnodent caries detecting laser to "aid" in diagnosing and quantifying the extent of decay in stained and/or pitted surfaces. the diagnodent returns a numerical value from 0 to 99 for each tooth or surface probed. I would like to record these values for each tooth somewhere in Dentrix, but currently there is no specific module/screen to do that. Ideally it could be another screen similar to perio probing recordings, and it MAY already exist, I just cant find it. I'm not looking for a bridge or link to enter data automatically. that is certainly 20 years into the future. I'm only asking for a specific PLACE in Dentrix similar to the perio charting (which we still enter by hand as well) so that every clinical note ever entered doesn't have to be opened and searched to find the most recent recordings. at present we DO record them in the Clinical Notes. VERY cumbersome and inefficient. Would rather have Dentrix prgm to help SOLVE this practice management issue. just asking to consider accommodating those of us on the "cusp" of technology.
