electronic prescriptions
Please allow us to electronically send Rx to pharmacies...the dentrix prescription pad is too easy to copy and I spend a lot of time dealing with forged Rx that have been scanned and altered. It would be great to just submit electronically (and enviornmentally friendly) .

This should have been integrated in G5 especially seeing that this was first shared in January of 2010. Dentrix is the industry leader and should stay that way. Lets make this happen soon rather than later.

E-prescriptions are going to save time on hold when calling in new meds, also avoid HIPAA violations when we have to say outloud the patient's name, DOB and type of medication they need. E-prescriptions are sent electronically through a private, secure, and closed network – the Surescripts network is one that is available. Please expedite, this would be great!

I would love this!! It would be so helpful, many pharmacies in our area ask if we can send them in electronically.

Yes it would be great to electronically send an RX- be able to find pharmacy with a drop down arrow, send right from the patients chart. /It would be a great time saver and help get the patients their medications quickly.

This is so necessary this day and time! YES LETS ME THE FIRST SOFTWARE IN THE DENTAL FIELD TO OFFER THIS FEATURE. It will help us also control drug seekers who try to dupliate the scripts we write.
Sitting on hold with pharmacies has also becoming very time consuming. -

LOVE THIS!!! Logged on here for the first time to suggest this and found that someone already had. Would love like a Pharmacy Manager where info about pharmacy (hours, phone #, address) can be store. Also on the Family File, it would be nice to have a place for the patient's PREFERRED PHARMACY.

Starting July 1, 2011 Florida will require tamper proof paper/pads for controlled substance Rxs (only available from select printers) or be electronically transmitted. Seems dentrix is moving from paperless back to paper.

Along with this, there needs to be a place to input a pharmacy's contact information, hours of operation, and then allow us a place in the patient chart to set an option for a perfered pharmay. Hopefully this could all be included in the e-scripting everyone is seeking. I agree that this function in the IPAD would be awsome just like having Guru at your figure tips saves time and increases patient acceptance!

most of the physicians have this capability. since dentrix stopped using colored paper and sent the white which is illegal in louisiana, we have more problems with this.. WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT IF DENTRIX WAS THE FIRST SOFTWARE COMPANY FOR DENTISTS TO USE IT. ALSO EVEN BETTER IF WE COULD USE OUR IPAD OR A NOTEPAD TO WALK AROUND OUR OFFICE TO USE IT FROM. HOW COOL COULD THAT BE!!!!!!!!!!! LET'S GET DENTRIX TO BE THE FIRST!!!!!!!

I was just going to start this suggestion. Glad others feel the same way. Kaiser, Walgreens, ... all accept electronic prescriptions.

This would save a lot of paper and time. My Dr's office already does this and they can even look up what rx's I've recently filled. This feature would be beneficial to regulate drug abuse since you can see who called in the RX and how many refills were given.

You have to order special prescription paper that cannot be copied. When it is copied it comes up that it is not valid if copied.

With State of MN mandate effective 1/1/2011, our office looks to Dentrix to take charge on this. In the meantime, to help us all in MN, a written statement (accessible from your website) with possible timetable for future research and development of an e-prescription software update would be most helpful. Thank you!
