Charting View - show teeth positioning or symbol to show closed gap
Provide a symbol to use on the chart view to show when spaces have been closed for a missing tooth. This may occur most commonly by orthodontic treatment. If it’s by a drifting of the teeth we can use the mesial and distal arrows for drifiting.
Thank you for the Enhancement Request.

What about this idea: capture an actual intraoral photo of each tooth during the initial exam and have the software recognize, format and replace the graphic representation of the tooth in the Chart with the actual photo of that tooth! The photos could be date- and time-stamped and changed as that tooth receives treatment.

Don't use arch or model at all, work in chart view. This would be a nice feature. If fact, making the chart view more of a Graphic User Interface would be nice. Click to see history of tooth or meaning of watch condition. Being able to accurately draw existing restoration would be nice. (I know there are ways to alter the default restoration drawing now but they fall short of really accurate representations)

Instead of having to make the Chart-view teeth "movable", which I'm guessing would be a MAJOR re-writing of the entire module, why not simply add a new Paint Type that can post to the empty space where a tooth is missing, but the space has closed or been closed, such as with bicuspid extractions in Ortho tx. The new Paint Type can simply be a double-ended arrow [ <---> ] or, better, a reverse double-arrow [ ---><--- ] and can be associated w/ a new Condition, perhaps called "Space Closed" or "Contact Closed". This is essentially what I now end up "drawing" using Chart Notations and a digital pen/tablet. Select the missing tooth and just apply the new Condition and the new Paint-type appears, showing that the space has been closed. Thx.

This can be done in the Arch View (and also displays accordingly in the Model View), so I assume your request pertains to the Charting View (find all three of these views in the menu: Chart | View | Graphic Chart)

Rather than viewing the extracted teeth as holes in the chart, we could drag the remaining teeth together if they are "closed up" due to ortho.

While not a feature in the Charting view, you can re-position the teeth in the Arch View, and those changes will also show in the Model View. (To change these views, either locate the corresponding toolbar buttons, or using the menus select Chart | View | Graphic Chart)
