How can we improve Dentrix?

Archive finished Lab Case.

Archive finished Lab Cases. Possibly as a part of the month end process to have a option to archive finished lab cases. The "archived" lab cases would go into a separate file that does not load in the lab case manager unless "include archived cases" is checked. Be able to archive received cases as well.

Changing the view settings may relieve some frustration expressed in this request.
In Lab Case Manager, click View.
On the first tab (General Options), you can filter from labs, patients, sent method (how it was shipped, and sent and/or finished date ranges.
On the second tab (Receive Options), you again have sorting options – (methods, provider, date)
On the third tab, you can choose to include or exclude Sent, Received, or Finished cases (by checking or unchecking the box).

If by default you don’t prefer to see the finished cases, you can uncheck that box on the third tab, and also check the box “Save as Default” Press OK, and your lab case manager will always open to that view (on this computer only). You may come back and change it at any time.

I agree, The Lab Case Manager is taking too long to upload due to the fact that you can store away the cases from previous months. Also you are unable to view the shade from a previous case completed. Last but not least, to see your monthly review on cases completed is a hassel, I keep having cases not show up and having to look for them in the huge mess that has over hundreds of cases.

I now have to go back into each case & set it 'finished' because the last person at my office never did. There should be a link between treatment completed & lab cases completed.Once treatment is complete, the lab case should automatically post as finished.

I think that it would be nice that once a patient comes into the office and gets the crown/ appliance delivered and it is set completed that the file goes straight to finished. As of now I am having to set each case finished before it goes there.

I would like the window split into three sections. Cases in lab, cases back lab, and cases completed. Based on case status it would be populated in the correct window. Also a filter could be place on finished cases to display only case complete in last "x months". That way when you open the lab case manager you can visually see all cases that are active and where they are. It would be great if you could drag from one window to the next to change the status.

I don't have this problem as I set up the lab case manager to not show finished cases. I clicked on View in the top menu, then Misc Options, then unchecked Finished Cases. Hope this helps!

I have a lot of cases and I want to archived them instead of deleting the information. Will the lab cases storage will go to each individual patient journal or document center?
