Customize the Office Journal entry types
Allow customers to set up the types for the journal entries in the office journal. And select which to default to. [2806]
Thank you for the idea!

You would think that after 27 comments, Dentrix would at least respond...

It is baffling why this hasn't been addressed yet. It is the only place in Dentrix to document contact/correspondence that is not a chart note , and yet there is CLEARLY a lack of ability to properly classify the type of contact that is being made.

I've been asking for this for several years to no avail. Guess designers don't feel it's important .

I only just started using the collections manager and with my collection calls I'd like to break it down In discriptors on the type of calls made for a quick over view when looking down the menu.

email would be nice for sure! also, along with 'correspondence sent to web' wouldn't it be nice to see a notation if the patient opens or responds to that email correspondence. or if they submit a survey listing their name. if DXweb allows an appointment to show confirmed, it would be nice to track or view that patients are filling out questionaires, responding to emails etc. - since this seems to be the 'see all' place in Dentrix

I agree! I'd like to have an option for 'Email sent' as well. At least the option to create your own types, even if you don't want to add the myriad of options we've all suggested into the actual Dentrix program.

Ability to note email correspondence not just as a message, but as it is in the phone call box, where you can put detail why you emailed the patient. Should have entry types about email, letter sent, phone calls and other correspondence with detail note ability.

Yes, and what you have does not really apply other than Phone Calls. I find myself using Miscellaneous most of the time.

Yes, I addressed this problem year ago and I can't believe this has not been corrected yet. We need to be able to add to the list on the fly. I wish the developers would concentrate on what's really important instead of that silly graphical virtual office interface for new employees. That just suck up pc resources and does nothing in managing day to day operations.

It would be nice if there were more options under TYPE. Such as email... The options right now are very limited.

We have starting using Office Journal more in our office as a way to document all types of coorespondence, it is very limiting to put in a new entry and have only 4 types to choose from. There should be a way to customize or edit the types that are currently listed. Thank you for your considerations.

I would like to have patient history of all appts made and changed and be able to see it in the journal for the patient. Now when we change an appt it does not keep it in the journal only the present appts.

I too find this to be very limiting and silly. Most of my contact is through email, but I have to list it under misc. That could mean anything.

Customizable would be ideal. However, if not, then Email and Text would be awesome!

E-mail and text would be wonderful. But customizable would be ideal.

Greatly needed to update to add more categories to this subject. Also should be able to see the body content/correspondences that was sent to the web than just heading as "Patient correspondence sent to web".

I agree and I also would like to be able to add catagories to "Filters"
