Production Summary: More options
Provide a formatted list of all patients who have had a specific procedure, range of procedures or multiple procedures within a date range (completed or treatment planned), with subtotals for each patient. Provide options to select specific procedures for the report. Options to sort the list by largest production to least production. List total production from all patients. Provide a way to find the top 20% of patients according to production--"80/20 Report". Option to group/run this report by Guarantor/Head of house. An option to run a production-only day sheet, listing only the procedures done with the patients' names. Production summary for one insurance company and its subscribers. For only procedures attached to continuing care. Should include totals of the number of patients who had each procedure done, as well as the original date of service on each procedure. Include the number of times a procedure has been performed for each patient on the list. Include tooth number: See how many of each procedure was done on specific tooth numbers.
That’s a great idea, thank you!

Lila, while this report doesn't pull patient info, you could get that information by creating a Patient Report View in Letters. This method might actually be better suited for your need (sending marketing materials to the patient) as the final result will be a spreadsheet with address, email, phone number, and/or other such demographic information that YOU CHOOSE to include.
** Let me also add that I do not disagree with the suggestion. I simply want to help by offering another method that might accomplish what you want today. **
Article # 34627 in the support knowledgebase adds some illustrations to the following steps, and might be easier to follow (www.dentrix.com/resource-center):
Dentrix | Office Manager | Letters | Misc | New...
In Letter Name field, type "Custom Patient Report"
In the Merge Data File Name field, type "report.out"
In the Merge Letter Template field, type "report.doc"
In the sections Status, Gender, and Position, uncheck all selections (or filter as desired).
On the Use Privacy Request for "No correspondence" to skip patients section,
- If Does not apply for this letter is marked, patients with privacy requests will still be included in the final list (not be skipped).
- If Applies for Patients or Guarantors is marked, all patients who have the "No correspondence" option selected in the Family File will not be included in the final list according to their stated preference (will be skipped).
- If Applies for "Referred By Patients" is marked, the letter will not include any patients who have a "Referred By" patient who has the "No correspondence" option selected in the Family File.
Select the Procedures filter.
In the Search For section, select Completed.
If desired, in the Select Procedure Codes section, select a range of procedure codes.
In the Select Procedure Date, enter the date range desired.
Click the Data Fields tab (found in the top left, under the Letter Name field)
Check only the demographic information that you want to include on the final report.
After you are satisfied with the selections made, click OK to close the Patient Report View dialog box.
Highlight the new letter just created ("Custom Patient Report").
Select Create/Merge | Create Data File Only | and OK
Wait for the query to check every patient in your system.
When it finishes counting, select View List.
'Select All' and 'Copy' the list.
Open a spreadsheet application (such as Microsoft Excel) and Paste the information. -

Still no response? I need to run a report of all of our patients that have recieved whitening trays/refills (we have a specific code) so we can market our new Zoom!, seems like this should be a simple task but Dentrix doesn't want to cooperate!

I need to pull up a list of procedures/treatment plans that are in specific files (ie. accepted, rejected, eventual) as presented in the treatment planner. Not just a list of incomplete treatment.

The most important report a marketing dentist needs is a list of patients treated over a period of time, and the total dollars spent, sorted from most to least. The top 500 patients over the last 4 years need to be marketed repeatedly. Mercedes markets to their existing clients, not Vespa owners!

Sorry I take that back. That will give you a report of how many of that procedure have been done in that time frame but not pt names.

You can do this by going to the Office Manager > Analysis > Practice > Reports. Here you can choose to search by procedure code range and date. Hope that helps

All of the above, plus an option to report by as-charged fee or office fee schedule.
