List all documents & forms that need to be signed
A report or module that lists all documents (Document Center, clinical notes, questionnaires, consent forms, etc.) that need to be signed. A signature manager. Have options for all within a date range and other filters. Include a flag to indicate whether or not the document is signed. [160714]
Thank you for your request.

It would be great if you could add a feature to this that would give you a pop-up or notification when the forms are out of date like health history and HIPAA that the patient needs to update.

Staff add clinical notes when care calls are made post-surgery. Need a list for the dentist to sign these notes. Currently keeping list on multiple small pieces of paper.

Maybe a checkmark of some sort on the appointment book would work? You can clearly see that an appointment has been set complete - why not add a check or some other indicator that the note has been done/signed.

Eaglesoft has had this functionality for years and it makes it very easy to verify that all chart notes are entered correctly and signed. This is one of the biggest advantages of Eaglesoft over Dentrix. However, I feel that Dentrix overall is a better PM software package.

From comments below programmers should see that clinicians can forget to make their notes. It become a monumental task to go back through the month and find what notes were not made. I would suggest that any patient on the schedule that is marked complete must have a clinical note or the chart would be flagged. Would be nice to print this report by date or by patient name. Everyone needs to vote for this and move it up the priority list.

I agree with this suggestion but I would like to add a Report request. If a procedure has been set complete but there isn't a corresponding clinical note for the same day then I want to be able to generate a report for each provider that lists each patient still needing a clinical note. We need an easier check and balance system to make sure the clinical notes are being entered for a specific day. We can only print a report in the clinical notes module for each provider but we can't view it or send it to word to view. It would be a waste of paper to print it every day for every provider.

This would be most helpful to have a report that would tell us what clinical notes were not recorded or signed. I have to review each patient and we see 50+ people in hygiene alone. Mary E

also searching by category of procedure or tooth number mention or word or phrases, so that notes regarding a certain tooth or certain procedures or a certain word or phrase can be found more readily. Maybe color coding by category would be helpful so that all endo notes can be pulled up or found at a glance or all treatment notes regarding tooth #14 can be found easily.

I need this feature implemented ASAP. We see 60 - 70 patients a day. It is too tedious to check every appointment and verify whether a doctor signed their records.

This is a great idea. I hate having to open a chart just to check if it has been signed or not.

We have multiple providers and some are volunteers. This feature would help management to be assured that all clinical notes are complete in the same manner.

It would indeed be very helpful to have a pop-up when patient consents need to be updated.

I agree. I also wish there was a place to put charts to review. When I had paper charts I would throw them on my desk to review or sign. I wish there was a way to virtually throw them on my desk by having a an icon that when you opened the charts where all there!

Also it would be helpful to be able to search clinical notes by category; ie, search for all prescriptions, search for all exam notes ,search for all notes in endodontic category or anesthetic category. Ability to color code by category or at whim would be helpful also along with this original suggestion of searching for notes unsigned.

This needs to be accomplished ASAP as other over internet practice mgmt. software has this already. Part of the advantage of electronic records is for improved record keeping. This ability to keep track of charts that have incomplete chart/clinical notes or unsigned clinical notes is a must from a medical/legal standpoint. Personally, I think it is important enough that as soon as you have this available, it should not wait to be distributed with other enhancements, but distributed at once. Rich Jensen

It would also be nice to be able to stack the forms. When the doctor needs to sign we end up printing anyway.
