Split payment by family members
Split payments by family member balances. When entering a payment, allow the user to split the amount to assign portions of the payment to family members who have balances (similar to splitting a payment by provider).

yes!! This is a great suggestion!! It's too much of a time restraint when a patien pays the balance and I have to go thru and assign the proper amount to EACH family member. . A software program I have used in the past would place the proper amount where it needed to go!! Real quick and real simple - the patient didn't have to stand and wait while I entered repeated information into each account!!!

This would be a great enhancement. 9 times out of 10 the patient is paying the family balance owed with 1 check. I have to constantly go to each member in the family and apply their portion on the family balance. And when it goes to the family balance rather than the patient, they wonder why John Doe owe's $200 still and Jane who was just in is paid off. This would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

Fantastic! I have been working in Dentrix for 11 years, and I cannot tell you how many times I have wished that split payment by family member was an option. I have so many requests by patients who want their payments itemized by person. This would make life a lot easier. PLEASE DO IT! Thank you.

split payment would be nice, what would be great is if it would apply the payment to the correct family member on it's own(oldest balance, only balance etc.

Oh yes Please!!!! When you print out an individual patient ledger(or treatment plan) their balance gets all screwed up because payments are not allocated to each individual family member.

Amen! I would like to split payment by patients. I would make it soooo much easier on an accounting basis back to the patient.

This would be very helpful. Ex: Four family members all have outstanding balances that differ, Mom decides to put 100.00 "on account" by Check. We use FIFO to provider but the payment has to be posted to the family (guar). The next thing you know, Guarantor has a credit on their ledger and other family members have a balance. It would be nice if the system could apply it equally to all outstanding family members.

2.Patient statements are difficult to read, we get calls almost daily about statements. If all family members must be included on the statement than there should be a way to itemize each patients balance as well designate the amount that is owed now for each patent. If any charge adjustments are done this completely screws up entire bill. When statements come in with payment it should include who the payment is for, right now it only has the HOH, if there are 5 or 6 family members than you need to open each account to find out who the payment should be applied to.

At this time when entering a bulk payment to an account, you have take note of the individual balances and post them all separately. It would be nice to be able to split the payment to individual family members within the ledger.

This would be great. I agree the current method of making adjustments is frustrating.
