Allow updated notes to be placed in the "notes" box on appt's in the "unscheduled list" as needed for Pt's not ready to reschedule!
It would be a great PLUS if when we are in the "unscheduled list", calling pt's who have cancelled previous appts, yet can't quite reschedule at that time (for one reason or another) if we could keep notes in the "notes" section of the appt in question. So, in future - when we are calling again - we can preview comments or notes pertinent to that patient or that appt!!

Ability to Print Accurate Patient History
Currently there is no way to print an accurate patient history with tooth numbers and surfaces for the patient. The Ledger prints tooth numbers, but not surfaces. The statements print no tooth numbers or surfaces. Also after invalidating a procedure, there is nothing that shows up on the printed ledger that would be given to the patient to indicate that the procedure has been invalidated. So in essence, we have no way of printing anything other than a walkout statement that has both tooth numbers and surfaces, and the walkout statements only print for one day at a time. Please… more

Special Adjustments: I understand the need/necessity for special adjustments, but they show up at the top of any ledger as an exisiting bala
Special Adjustments:
When they are posted, and you run a ledger report they show up at the top of the report as "Balance Forward". This is confusing for the special adjustment may have happened later in date of the first transaction posted. Can you place the special adjustment(s) into the ledger at the date they appear?3 votes -

Select pt. by first few letters ie: Richard Smith ric,smi
Type in first few letters of last name, comma, then first name. Do not differentiate by capital letters such as McPherson. Be able to type "mcp"

When recall cards are printed, auto mark the appointment.
I would like an option to automatically change a status on an appointment when correspondence is sent. Specifically I would like dentrix to automatically mark appointments that recall card has been sent as soon as it is printed in the letters.

In the ledger, it would be nice if you did not have to click "View", then select the patient - just to be able to click "Treatment".

3 votesIn the ledger, to see the treatment plan for a patient, after that patient is selected in the ledger. If you click on “Options” and then “Treatment Plan” it will show you the patients treatment plan.
If that option is not working, and you find that you must actually select the patient from “View” before you can do this, you can actually disable this option.
In the ledger, click on “View” then un-check “Default All With Running Balance” and the issue should be resolved.

Payment agreements
Insurance benefits should not be posted to PA's. We do not take into consideration expected insurance benefits and when an insurance benefit is posted it now skews the payment due date.

Payment plans report needs to be interactive like the continuing care report
The payment plans report needs to be interactive like the continuing care report. Also, we need to be able to have an option for viewing payment due on a specific date with out requireing a previous due date as this will not show new plans due with in the same time period.

cut and paste or move pages within a document in document center
once a document is scanned (example, when scanning charts). if 20 pages are scanned at once it is one document. after it is saved, it would be nice to split up the document into several more specific documents. such as the original 20 pages saved as 5 seperate documents with 4 pages each.
we are presently scanning all of our charts. with about 1000 charts to scan, it is much quicker to scan all pages of the chart at once. then once all charts are scanned, we could then break up the scanned chart into specific documents such as chart… more

Signature w/ ePad II - Clinical Note
Every time I sign my clinical note I have to click once to open the Sign Clinical Note Window and then click another time to open the ePad II window to digitally sign the clinical note. The Denxtix software should be smart enough to know an ePAd II is connected and open the signature window automatically without having to click twice. Repetitive f(x) need to be removed from the Dentrix software. This is a prime example.

Patients are always asking for a statement/ledger report that shows their activity for the year for tax purposes.
Patients are always asking for a statement/ledger report that shows their activity for the year for tax purposes. It would be wonderful if an extra box (filter) could be added to the "Patient Ledger Report" window from both Office Manager-Reports-Ledger-Patient's Ledger Report" and "Ledger-Print-Patient Ledger" that would give us the option to put in an "Ending or Last Transaction Date" also. This way we could pull a report for the time period they request and not any more, especially if they need to go back a couple of years.

Splitting a secondary claim
Allow us to split a secondary claim. Sometimes insurance will pay part of a secondary claim, and want us to resubmit only one of the procedures with more information. In Dentrix, once you've marked the procedure as paid on the secondary claim, you can't resubmit the other procedures. This would be made easier if you could split the secondary claim the same way you can split the primary claim.

Sending Non-Assigned Claims: Give option to resolve now
When sending Non-Assigned Claims please give option to "Resolve Now" rather than having to select claim in ledger and post 0.00 paid. These non-assigned claims show up on outstanding claims report if you forget to go in and resolved them manually.
