  1. A patient history button

    I think it would be handy to be a button with all the others on the toolbar that would allow us to see a patient's individual history quickly. We could click the button and it would bring up a window that showed basically a snapshot of their last services and when they were done. Similar to what is available through EagleSoft.

    • existing restoration to ext on the same day?

      When a patient comes in with tooth pain the existing restoration is charted (as is the rule for proper record keeping) and then the tooth is removed the same day, the existing restoration doesn't go away out of the chart. It needs to be able to happen. I've called twice, the advice I got was to "predate" the existing to the day before the extraction was done.

      • Treatment planner in-network and out-of-network estimates must improve

        Treatment planner is counter intuitive, ineffective, and useless.
        I just spent the last two hours with support trying to make the treatment planner more effective. The technician was very knowledgeable and provided detailed instructions on how to make Dentrix do what it is designed to do. All of the solutions cumbersome and cause other problems.
        Situation: I have roughly 15,000 active patients that visit my office routinely. Of those, more than 5,000 families are insured by carriers that we are contracted with. The treatment planner is intended to provide accurate estimates based on the details within the policy. We update…

          It would be very helpful if the continuing care status had a date when status was changed. When looking at continuing care list it makes it known to whoever is contacting those patient when the last time they were contacted all in one spot. If I leave a message for the patient, I change the status and whoever is making calls for recall know when and if that patient needs to be called again just simply by the date of the status change.

          • we need to clear up duplicates of Rx setup entries from the Rx setup menu, en masse, if possible.

            During practice transition, duplicates from the Rx setup menu were copied, and each patient of record, has about 50+ entries for medications that was already given and we would like to delete it with the most efficient time possible to clear them, for accuracy and completeness of each patient chart.

              When a patient does not have insurance and has treatment (& we would like to give a discount) we would like for the treatment plan to print with Fee 1 showing & patients discounted portion on same page.

                With the update that happened; we can longer see our whole list of patients on the ASAP list. We now have to modify it each time to see the complete list and/or go day by day. It would be nice to just select ASAP and see every patient that is on the ASAP List and in categorized would be helpful. Patients who want any day anytime, to patients who only want mornings, afternoons, 4pm's, 9am's, etc... & listing them in order. Example: When the first patient gets put in the ASAP for only afternoons and another patient the following day…

                  Currently, the consent forms have to be typed in plain text format. It would be helpful to be able to import consent forms. And be able to maintain formatting. This helps creating forms that are easier to read for patients.

                      Add an option for a cash counter for cash in and cash out, similar to what a teller would use in a bank. Allow to track total cash received per transaction by denomination and also enter cash returned to patient. Currently one has to enter the amount of the payment and not actual amount received from the patient and figure out amount to be returned in your head or pull up a calculator for verification.

                        We often have more than one person confirming appts at the same time. By locking out the appt when accessed, another team member will not be able to access the appt.

                          • Dentrix Pay Credit card transaction to Document Center

                            When using Dentrix Pay to process a credit card, have the print to document center process, put the document to the patients Credit card transactions in the document center instead of putting it in unfiled documents, this was a feature of Powerpay that worked well.

                              It would be of great benefit if the insurance coverage table and insurance plan notes were displayed in the Family File in another section without having to click into another section to see them. This could be populated when a patient with insurance is selected in the Family File. When the Family File is Maximized, there is plenty of room for this type of addition.                                 When printing Clinical notes, to have the option of not showing when the notes were created. There are times when transcription services or Dr's enter their notes after the date of service/appointment and it looks confusing when both dates are displayed.

                                  Please offer filter options in the "Task Scheduler - Daysheet - Deposit" that are the same as those offered in the "same" report we can run from Office Manager. (Checks, Insurance Checks, Credit Card, etc.)
                                  **Example: Every day we run two Daysheet Deposit Sheets; One that
                                  shows exactly what is sent to the Bank from the Office and goes in the deposit envelope & one that shows Care Credit/Credit Card transactions that does not.

                                        The ability to pull up a list of Archived patients by date range.
                                        This will allow practices to see how many patients are now not coming to the practice. The tool is essential to be able to see the patients that are leaving the practice then can be determined why.

                                          Does it make sense that you mark GM as a positive number for sulcus charting / gingival overgrowth? Isn't this typically marked as negative? It makes more sense to me, for it to be negative.
