  1. Entering STAFF ID should be mandatory and the system should NOT just use who last made appt.

    At this time when using pinboard - the computer leaves the original ID in Staff ID. When changing or making new appt - this should go blank and always require the person making the appt add their ID. The history is an important feature but this is important. IE I don't make appt anymore yet my ID is still connected to the new appt made using the pinboard.

    • Cross over tool for appointment book

      it would be nice to have a tool to mark on the appointment book for cross over patients. going from one room to another.

      • Moving multiple appointments at one time

        Move one column of patients in an operatory to another operatory without having to move individually. This would be a great time saver.

          When setting any appointment complete there should be a pop up asking if you would like to re-appoint the patient. Similar to continuing care appointments. That way it eliminates a few steps in a busy front desk setting. Thank you

          • Super Bill Print Information for Today's Appointment instead of Future

            The Super Bill Currently Pulls information for future appointments. The Super Bill would function more effectively if it pulled todays information not future appointments.

            • color code appointment notes

              When clicking on the appointment, there is a notes section at the bottom.
              Please allow the option to color coordinate the notes! If this was an option, then staff could easily glance at the notes to see which notes are most relevant to them ---- thanks!

              ie: We could use red for urgent changes
              We could use green for dental assistant notes
              Purple for front office notes specific about insurance, etc!

                • Tracking cancelled/deleted appointments

                  Other than the "history" option in the appointment view, there should be a way (in the family file?) to track scheduling/rescheduling of appointments, including deleted appointments and also a possible "reason for cancel" as well. We had a minor come in the office, but mom cancelled the appointment. The appointment was deleted instead of broken so there was no way of tracking anything. The mother claimed she did not cancel this appointment and there was no way (to our knowledge) of resolving this. This also comes in handy for patients who have a long history of cancelling/rescheduling/no-showing. This would be…

                    The following features would really improve the new Appointment fill feature:

                    1.) Ability to view and text even non-ASAP appointments. Sometimes we know someone to be flexible even if they weren't marked ASAP and it would be good to be able to text them. (NOTE: With the current appointment types, is even possible to find all "CC" appts, therefore every hygiene appointment is compatible with Appointment Fill EXCEPT the doctor's appointments!!)

                    2.) Once a given appointment has had a FILL text sent, it needs to trigger a flag to indicate that a message already went out so a different staff…

                    • Edex is a great idea, however, it doesn't work properly. Notes travel from one contact to another.

                      Edex is not working properly. I entered notes on a card in edex and they traveled to other cards within Edex. ie. i entered extension #'s in the note field and then went to a different edex listing and what i had just put in showed up in that listing.

                          • Provider-Color Indication for Completed Appointments

                            When an entire day's appointments have been completed, it can be difficult to tell at a glance whose appointments were whose without having to select each appointment, especially if a given column may be shared between providers. (For instance we have an "assisted hygiene" column on our schedule and multiple hygienists may have appointments in that column throughout the day.)
                            While still primarily greying out completed appointments, having some remaining indication of the provider color for completed appointments could be beneficial.

                            • dual appointment books on dual screens

                              I would like to have the ability to have dentrix open on each scren on my dual screen set up. THis way i can be addressing something on one (like a note) and when someone calls in to sch I can jump to the other screen and not have to close out and hope that I remember to go back to it. I feel this would greatly benefit the users!

                                There is no way to tell who has been contacted on the Unscheduled List, because of this, it's taking a lot of time to go through each appointment and read the notes so we are not calling a patient every day.

                                  In the appointment book view when you select a patient then right click it would be nice to have 'other appointments' at the top of the list! All staff look at this as the patients leave to make sure they are booked in . In G6 the top item on this list is now 'set complete' this will lead to incorrect billing being completed !!!!!!!!!!!

                                    We have two Dentist's at our location. One likes 10 min increments and the other 15 min.

                                    That would be an awesome feature so that we can have both dentist scheduling the way they like.

                                    • Modify printer settings

                                      Allow different printer settings for different dentrix applications. Example: printng the appointment view in landscape mode to allow wider viewing of patient appts. (more operatories added make the columns too narrow) but still allow the printer to print other forms in the portrait mode.
                                      Also eliminate the columns in the print appointment book view. Takes up too much space on the paper.

                                      • Be able to print more than 1 appointment with the Dymo Label in Quick Labels

                                        It would be super if we can print multiple appointments. Right now, we can only print the most current appointment. Also, the DAY OF THE WEEK would be helpful as well....I've seen that suggestion already and the day of the week would be super!!!!

                                        • Shorten appointment time automatically

                                          It would be great if appointment book gave a choice to automatically shorten the time of an appointment moved from the pin board or the unscheduled list. The best way to do this is to have a new option after the first responses "Schedule Appointment". Then replace the option "Operatory is already scheduled for requested time!" (Selection “OK”) have a selection option that asks “Operatory is already scheduled for requested time. Automatically shorten appointment to available time?” “Yes/NO”.
