        • there should be a way to mark each insurance group that run on a fiscal year, so that the primary insurance box on the family file is a diff

There needs to be a way to mark each insurance group that has a fiscal year, that will show up in the family file. For example if I opened up group A and the group starts it's year on March 1. The whole inursuance box would show up with a light green/red/blue back ground in the family file. So it grabs your attention. But any group marked with a January 1 start date, just stays the same white background.

          • Broken Appointment Pull Down Menu in Appointment Book that Posts to the Office Journal

Dental offices need the ability to track the reasons a patient fails their scheduled appointments. The Appointment Book should have the option to require that a reason be selected in a drop down menu when any appointment is broken. i.e., illness, work, no show, transportation, etc. An answer should be required before Dentrix will allow the appointment to be broken and before the office personnel can proceed to the next step. The selected reason should post to the patient's Office Journal in addition to the entry "Broken Appointment". With this feature, the front desk can not only track all broken… more

              • Export or Send to...from Print Preview Screen

Would like the ability from Print Preview screen to Export or Send to.. (mail recipient, word document etc) directly from Print Preview.

Ex. is patient wants copy of prior year expenses for tax purposes and would like it emailed. There is no need to save this as a document in the Document Center or go through the lengthy process to email through document center.

                • Office Journal~

Since I prioritize everything in my office journal by months, it would be nice to be able to print it by specific dates if I choose to print it.

                  • Remove the asterisk (*) preceding the patient name in the Continuing Care List.

I often export the Continuing Care list to an excel spreadsheet to make it easier to sort by differnet criteria. The asterisk in front of the name prevents me from sorting by name. Names with asterisks (for head of household) will group together followed by those without (dependents). This makes it difficult to see which family members have scheduled appointments and which ones don't.
This similar problem exits in other lists, such as the Unscheduled List or the ASAP list where the person's title precedes the name. If you must keep the asterisks or tiitles, I suggest they be placed… more

                      • Allow more than seven letters for a fee schedule name, please

Allow more than seven letters for a fee schedule name, please.

Most insurance companies have longer names than seven characters.

                        Thanks.

                        • It would be nice for the patient to be able to see any insurance notes, and have them print to the patients treatment plan.

When we aquire rundowns, we keep important allowances or disallowances in the insurance notes. It would be beneficial for them to be able to see what those notes are when a treatment plan is printed and gicven to the patient. I.E. "sealants are not allowed on this plan" or "Resin composite on posterior fillings are downgraded and the patient is responsible for this portion."

                          • Allow updated notes to be placed in the "notes" box on appt's in the "unscheduled list" as needed for Pt's not ready to reschedule!

It would be a great PLUS if when we are in the "unscheduled list", calling pt's who have cancelled previous appts, yet can't quite reschedule at that time (for one reason or another) if we could keep notes in the "notes" section of the appt in question. So, in future - when we are calling again - we can preview comments or notes pertinent to that patient or that appt!!
