  1. Automatic daily list for recare appts and unscheduled treatment

    A automatic list that pulls from continuing care and unscheduled treatment plans every day to give the front office a constant reminder of who is due/overdue for recare (and unscheduled) or has an unscheduled treatment plan by date, a list that will give options of due today, overdue by 1 month, 2 months, etc.

    • Allow only one user to access the same appt at the same time.

      We often have more than one person confirming appts at the same time. By locking out the appt when accessed, another team member will not be able to access the appt.

      • Non-scheduled ASAP list

        We need a way to keep track of those patients who don't want to make an appointment but want to be called ASAP for an opening on hygiene. Right now, all I have is a pad of paper on which I put names, phone numbers and if they want a specific day or time of day. Just seems like a printable list would make it so much easier to keep up with.

          • Actually, what we are looking for is a way to put a sequence of appointments for individual patients so the front desk can be alerted to sch

            Sometimes the doctor is not always available to tell the front desk what to schedule for a patient. We thought it would be helpful to have a place in Dentrix (patient chart) for them to write a list of appointments for individual patients so we can be alerted to schedule those appointments without having to wait for the doctor.

                When sending confirmations by text, DO NOT have any words after "To confirm your appointment press 1" Currently it states Press 1 to confirm appt. Unfortunately, it looks like Press 1 t o confirm appt. as it wraps onto the next line. WAY MORE incorrect replies than necessary!

                  A nice improvement would be an optional flag, to warn if I schedule a cleaning appointment prior to 6 months. Sometimes people will call for their appointment as soon as they get the postcard, and I'll accidentally schedule the cleaning too soon. It's awful to not get paid because it's too soon.

                    instead of having to create a patient alert for any medical correspondence, have the medical alert pop up when you enter a patients file. Sometimes after entering the questionnaire and making sure the medical alerts are in properly, its a hassle and easily forgotten to have to add another alert

                      • Pinboard glitches

                        Our office LOVES the "Pinboard" option and uses it daily. We have had to work around a few glitches that has caused some problems.
                        1. A highlighted appointment box will sometimes not bring up the selected patient, but instead will pull up a patient who is pinboarded. This has resulted in incorrectly placed notes that have to be corrected.
                        2. A pinboarded patient's picture will pop up rather than the selected patient.
                        3. Some patients have remained on the pinboard, even when we drag the appointment to a spot on the appointment book. We can see the appointment is set…

                        • Edex- Treatment Plans

                          Edex should have an area where you can see if the patient has pending treatment. That way its a quick look and see, instead of either a)having multiple call lists that have the same patient that is due for a cleaning and has unscheduled treatment, and b) clicking multiple buttons to get to the treatment screen.

                          • Appointment "Time Pattern"? Seriously it's an improvement??????

                            WHAT IS WITH THE NEW SCHEDULING????? There was NOTHING wrong with it the old way. Now it's extra steps to use this "Scheduling Pattern" which is sooooooo annoying!!!! The "Appointment Length" in the "Appointment Information screen worked 'perfectly" fine the way it was. Please put if back the old way.

                              • create a new referred by source while scheduling a new patient.

                                When I am entering a new patient to our schedule and they are referred by a provider or source that we have not scheduled before, we are unable to create the new referral source from that window.

                                  I think there should be something added in the office manager where you can print out a call back report at the end of the day (for certain procedures) that contains the patients contact info - i.e. root canals, extractions, etc

                                        Having the option to schedule the appointments from the cell phone instead of only being able to see the schedule from Dentrix on the cell phone. Example - if i am out of the office and i see a patient and they wont have time to call or come in to schedule time to be seen, how easy would it be to just pull out the phone and tap on the time slot and just schedule them in. Just a thought and hope this happens.

                                          A module that would open up and list the patient's availability (or add another field in the family file), so when we put them on the ASAP list, we can simply refer to the information we have previously put down. For example, if we are scheduling John Doe and he wants to get in sooner, but we don't have the availability in our schedule, we can put him on the ASAP list and put down his availability in the "patient availability" module/field in the family file. Then when we have an opening, we can pull patients from the ASAP list…
