  1. Customize Route Slips & Patient Visit Forms

    We should be able to REALLY customize the Route Slips and Patient Visit Forms! I work in a dental office and feel that the Route Slips give too much information, but the Patient Visit forms just don't give enough. I like certain information boxes from each form, but we are not given the ability to mix and match the forms.

    In our office we need something simple, but that gives detailed information about that days visit. (Procedure, Procedure code, Description, Cost - Patient Name, DOB - But still a blank space that the clinical team is able to write notes…

    • Patient Alert Templates

      To save time in entering a patient alert, it would be nice if there was a choice of pre-set descriptions that you could assign set areas to display the alert. So when you choose that description, the areas to display are attached to it and automatically highlight. For example, COLLECTION (description) would display in family file, ledger and create an apt, which you would have pre-set for any patient in collection.

      • Ability to choose which billing statements to print w/o getting kicked out when printing a walkout and having to start all over again.

        Provide a way to be able to view & choose which billing statements to actually print without getting kicked out each time we print a walkout statement when checking out a patient; therefore, having to start sorting out the statements all over again. This has been so problematic each month! We currently have to print the walk-out statements from another computer, but it's so easy to forget, and then we lose a full day's worth of work. Please fix asap! We were hoping something this important would be fixed in G6, but it's not!

        • Add a fee schedule utilization report

          Some schedules that we receive and input into Dentrix are rarely used, if ever. Some plans cease to exist, and notification of that is not always received at the offices. It would be great if we could see how often a schedule was used within settable dates.

            Can there be more than 64 medical alerts? In this day and age there are so many patients with multiple medical conditions and allergies.

              i asked for this feature for years and dentrix is capable of this is under the practice analysis report have it so we can pull the total monies either in production or collection figures for each demographic of zip codes and age group.

              • Condensed Report of all QuickBill submissions w/ Date Range

                It would be nice to be able to pull a condensed report of all QuickBill submissions within a date range. For example, the Financial Coordinator wants to provide the doctor with a monthly report that shows who was billed, date they were billed and amount, without having to save each QuickBill Submission Detail form from the Batch Processor.

                • Revenue Calculator

                  A "calculator" in the office manager that you can select certain fields to be pulled from Dentrix (i.e. unscheduled hygiene appointments) which is equal to a value of $X. The calculator would show you if you have $X amount in unscheduled hygiene, 25% of that is equal to $X, which means you have to schedule 4 appointments to meet your production goal.
                  There is a program in Eagle Soft called Revenue Opportunities (not a report) that will allow you to pull data and do calculations to show you unscheduled revenue opportunities for the practice. Sure you could print a report…

                  • CPT Code posted on Day Sheet and in the Patient Ledger

                    When a dental CDT procedure has been cross coded to a medical CPT code in the patient's Ledger the CPT code needs to appear on the Day Sheet and in the "Code Column" of the Ledger. This layer of redundancy will ensure the CDT code has been properly cross coded to the proper CPT code. At the end of the day of patient care our providers will review their Day Sheet and sign them stating the procedures are being billed out correctly to decrease insurance fraud, increasing accuracy and increase reimburemsent.                     • Make a way to track when fee increases are done and what percentage was used.

                      It would be nice to track when fee sshedule changes are made. I normally print them out and keep a file but we have moved since the last fee increase so finding that file will be difficult.

                        • Highlighting or Bolding a statement mesage

                          I would like to be able to highlight or make the statement message on the bottom of the statements bold. Sometimes we have important messages that do not get seen because it's so small and doesn't stand out. If it were in color or bold it would stand out. Right now we print them and hand highlight which is very time consuming.

                          • we need to be able to change the font in the patient accounts and ledgers

                            the font on the patient account and ledger is very hard to see and we need to be able to make it bold or change the font. at the end of the day I have a headache from trying to deal with the pixilated font in the accounts and in dentrix at all

                            • I would like to be able to add a code to a patient to prevent them from being added to a certain report.

                              I would like to add a code to a patient so they would not be added to a certain report( example: Unscheduled treatment plans) if I spoke to a patient and they are not moving forward with treatment, I do not want to remove the recommended treatment but I don't want them to be on the report. It wastes time to research their notes.

                                  We would greatly appreciate a Report which will indicate by Carrier Name (Delta, MetLife, Aetna) only the percentage of our patient's who are covered by that carrier. This report would allow us to determine whether participation with carrier is beneficial.

                                      There should be an option to select hygienist in the Referred by Doctor report to be able to see how much revenue they've collected under their ID. Also there needs to be a Collections Report By Referred By Source to show the total amount collected from patients who were referred by a specific referral source.

                                      • Auto updates on patient payment arrangements

                                        It would be great to have the patient payment arrangements update at the time of payment rather than a day after. Auto would make it easier to print a accurate statement for the patient.
