Assign default provider for procedure codes and multi codes
Add the ability to attach specific procedure codes to certain providers for the default provider to use when a procedure code is posted. The user should be able to set up a procedure or multi-code to post for the patient's Prov1 (primary provider in the Family File), the patient's Prov2 (secondary provider in the Family File), or to a specific provider. This would provide the user with more options for posting procedures besides defaulting to the patient's Prov1 or to the provider selected in the Chart. This should include the ability to set up a multi-code for some procedures to… more

Medical History button
A medical history button needs to be on the toolbar (not just medical alert button). This would be a place to write down and view each patient's medical history, including specific allergies, what medications they are taking at what doses... It needs to be a blank area that can be customized for every patient.

Custom Paint Types
Allow the user to change how a paint type paints and/or to add/define/customize new paint types that can be saved and reused. Wants the red lines to be bolder. Wants the ability to customize the paint on a tooth by tooth basis. Wants to actually paint/draw/color on the Chart with the probe. [302]

Colors Coded Clinical Notes by Provider
I have several hygients. If each had their own color for clinical notes it would easier for them to see all the prophy. The doctors notes would also be a different color. Or you could have a color for the hygiene department and one for the doctors.

Select a Tooth, See the History of Tooth in a Pop-Up Window
Our Dr would like to be able to click on a tooth in the chart and have a window pop up with all the procedures/notes associated with that tooth. Rather than having to scroll through all the clinical notes trying to find that particular tooth. This would save so much time!

Clinical Notes Font Size, Styles, Colors
It would be very helpful if the clinical notes could allow certain text to be bold, italics, and/or a larger font. We are constantly duplicating information from clinical notes into Patient Alerts so that it is more apparent in the future. We also use lots of CAPITALS and ****** to bring attention to information in clinical notes. A simple rich text editor in there would be a really helpful addition.

Root tips as a condition
We want to be able to add root tips as a condition for charting purposes. Also need a graphic for it. This would enable us to have a more complete picture of the patients mouth.

Charting declined treatment
Need the choice of declined for treatment in addition to proposed, and completed. We want to know we proposed and they declined so we don't keep asking. Sealants are a good example, a visual different color on the chart would let us know immediately.

Clinical Notes - display all function
I would like to be able to view ALL the clinical notes, where each note is not individual, but instead you hit a display all button and you can scroll through all the notes like a paper chart. This would be particularly useful when completing complex cases where you may want to look at several notes (e.g. a multiple appointment situation 1 appt - tx planning, 2 appt - RCT, 3 appt - build-up). This way instead of having to open each note individually, it can be scrolled through.

Charting View - show teeth positioning or symbol to show closed gap
Provide a symbol to use on the chart view to show when spaces have been closed for a missing tooth. This may occur most commonly by orthodontic treatment. If it’s by a drifting of the teeth we can use the mesial and distal arrows for drifiting.

Use light pen to input treatment plan codes and surfaces from laminated sheet of bar codes.
There are too many steps to get a simple 3 surface restoration into a treatment plan. If you have a long or more complex plan it is highly inefficient. Much more efficient to write on paper.

Indention of clinical and progress notes.
Currently the progress and or clinical notes are charted on the extreme left of the page underneath the tooth#, code, etc., making it difficult to differentiate one days treatment from the next. For clinical or progress notes, automatically tab the indention under the description column in the mid right portion of the progress note. It will allow ones eye to scan the tooth# and surface on the left side and read notes on the right side, creating a neater, cleaner, more professional looking chart which is more easily reviewed.
