  1. Moving patients WITH history to a new ledger

    We have parents requesting (quite often) to move adult kids onto their own ledgers. Currently this is very problematic with software limitations and we end up having to make multiple accounts (also with kids on and off DSHS). Apparently Eaglesoft has a way for this to happen. We'd like to be able to create a new family file for these adult children that will take their history with them.

    • Have payment agreements display on the day they are due

      Have payment agreements show as a notice on the daily schedule. It would be even better if it was some type of appt, so my smile reminder could send them a reminder of their due date. Right now we have to manually add an event onto our daily schedule so I can remember to call.

      Another thing that would be helpful is a box to check that changes the due date to the next date the office is open. For example: my pt has a cc payment due on the 11th of each month, but we 9/11 is a Sunday,…

        Patient name changes should not apply retroactively to old ledger entries. Names should be locked down to reflect name at time of procedure/entry. If Jane Doe got married in Jan 2016 then all her old ledger entries should still be Jane Doe not Jane Smith. It would also be nice to include former name in Family File and allow it to be searchable. Currently if I can't recall Jane's new name then there is no way to search her (yes by first name...but how many Jane's might you have!)

          Would be REALLY nice to minimize the amount of clicking to get information.
          ie: Treatment Plan Cases- when notes on the renamed case are made it would be nice to be able to double click on the case to see the associated notes that go with that case, rather than CLICKING into case history to find this information.
          Less clicking to get information needed would be WONDERFUL

            Options for gender should be Male, Female and Other. Gender isn't binary. Having trans, non-binary or intersex patients listed as Male or Female if that isn't what best fits their identity is problematic and confusing for staff.

            • Archiving

              I have been doing the archiving for years. It's always been simple. With the G6 upgrade it has become very time consuming and inconvenient. Now you must do multiple credit/debit adjustments to every single patient ledger to archive members of a family. It has tuned in to a very long process and now the adjustments are reflecting into the practice analysis. It is giving a false representation of production. There should be a override to archiving.

              • Health History Update Printable Form

                We would love to be able to preprint (the day before) a patient health history form that includes demographic info, name of employer, insurance information, medications list (why isn't there a place for this?), past medical history,etc, that could be customizable to meet each practice's needs. These forms could be given to patients upon check-in for them to review and make changes. This would streamline the check-in process for practices not using electronic questionnaires. The forms could be printed the day before (much like a superbill) and could be accessed through quick letters!

                • Changing fees on multiple procedures at once.

                  If you look at the function and flow of a dental front office, you will quickly see that there is not enough time for the front desk coordinator to get all the insurance verified, entered, etc. before the patient is brought back to an operatory and procedures begin being marked complete. This is creating more work for that team member who then has to manually correct all the fees for the procedures just marked complete by the clinical staff and do it before the claim is generated and sent.                     G6 icons are difficult to read. Some of us are over 40 and have vision issues. It was much clearer and defined in G5. Please fix.

                    • Merge Duplicate Referred To & Referred by Doctors

                      As doctor's offices grow they often times change from a Doctor Name (singular) to a Group Name. I would like the ability to merge referred Docs or Groups into one and still maintain the referring analysis - much like when merging family members.

                      Currently I have three separate docs who are at one location - we would like to put these all in one file showing the name of the institution rather than three different names with the same address.

                        • I need to be able to set complete future appointments

                          We are working with third party company, if a patient cancels future appointment I need to be able to complete the appointment as canceled and have it on the ledger. the completed appointment needs to be deleted other wise patient will receive appointment confirmation text. Please help

                          • Stop combining procedures on claim form by units and bulk pricing

                            Example: Patient requires one hour of sedation. D9243 is billed in 15 minute increments of $125.00 each; therefore, D9243 is billed 4 times (15 minutes each) to equal 1 hour. The procedure is listed 4 times in ledger and 4 times in tx plan. However, when Dentrix generates the claim form, D9243 is listed on one line as $500 with 4 units listed in Box 29b on the claim form. Dental carriers do not process by units, they process per procedure code line, which causes claim processing and payment issues. Essentially, by listing all units on the same procedure code…

                                Whenever putting in a new flag, you must select from the list of 33 items as to where you want your flag to pop up.

                                If we are posting a financial flag, I select the same 15 items every time.

                                It would be great if I can save my settings so that if it is something financial, I can have it apply to the same 15 items I always select and not have to scroll through the list of 33 and select.

                                  The current report - "Insurance Claims to Process" and "Procedures Not Attached to Insurance" do not "catch" any claims that were placed in "batch" and never sent. They only get discovered on "accident" which means that there is potentially big dollars sitting out in neverland. There should be a report that would include these batched, but never sent claims! Why isn't there?? And if there is, how do I run it? Your Click-to-Chat rep wasn't able to offer me any other report to run.

                                    Just upgraded to G6 last week and the chart colors are white/light gray in all areas except directly behind the tooth graphic. Makes it very hard for the eyes to see a difference in sections of the chart. We use tx planner layout. Don't know why this was changed! If you look on G6.Dentrix.com, that chart has the lighter blue to the right for the procedure buttons section and then a beige/yellow further right for the procedure code section - all of this color is gone in the new charts.                                       Please reference the ImproMed Veterinary software system for this template request... there needs to be a way to drop in a template schedule into the appointment book view so the appointment book can be used as a multi purpose of 1) appointments for a busy practice (20-30 appointments each AM & PM of the day), and 2) to overlay the appointment book with the staffing schedule (dental hygienists and dental assistants only) so we know how many employees are scheduled for different times. 3) there need to be an ability to create multiple templates for different times of the year…

                                      • Re-allocate payments to correct patient

                                        We used to be able to re-allocate a payment to a different family member and with G6 we can no longer do that. Now my staff has to have me delete the payment or do an adjustment. I thought we would like the new G6 payment allocation options for providers, but it does not work the way we thought it would.
