  1. There should be some way to flag people who are due for form updates

    Some forms expire 3-6-12 months after they are filled out. There should be a flag or notes that come up when they are scheduled to let you know they are due to update those forms

    • Tracking cancelled/deleted appointments

      Other than the "history" option in the appointment view, there should be a way (in the family file?) to track scheduling/rescheduling of appointments, including deleted appointments and also a possible "reason for cancel" as well. We had a minor come in the office, but mom cancelled the appointment. The appointment was deleted instead of broken so there was no way of tracking anything. The mother claimed she did not cancel this appointment and there was no way (to our knowledge) of resolving this. This also comes in handy for patients who have a long history of cancelling/rescheduling/no-showing. This would be…

      • When Breaking an appt ADD A TX CHART NOTE / JOURNAL ENTRY / LEDGER

        If a patient NO SHOWS and the BROKEN appt is used. It would be helpful if it automatically put a chart note, journal note and added to the pts account ledger that they failed to show. It would also be helpful if dentrix gave the option if there is a fee.

        • Add Procedure Frequency Limitations

          As insurance plans continue to change we would like to add Procedure Frequency Limitations for reference to save time scheduling and with claims.

          • Max not being counted toward preventive services.

            Some insurance plans don't apply the max towards preventive procedures. We need away to mark this, that way it won't say the patient is maxed when they really aren't.

            • Moving patients WITH history to a new ledger

              We have parents requesting (quite often) to move adult kids onto their own ledgers. Currently this is very problematic with software limitations and we end up having to make multiple accounts (also with kids on and off DSHS). Apparently Eaglesoft has a way for this to happen. We'd like to be able to create a new family file for these adult children that will take their history with them.

              • Have payment agreements display on the day they are due

                Have payment agreements show as a notice on the daily schedule. It would be even better if it was some type of appt, so my smile reminder could send them a reminder of their due date. Right now we have to manually add an event onto our daily schedule so I can remember to call.

                Another thing that would be helpful is a box to check that changes the due date to the next date the office is open. For example: my pt has a cc payment due on the 11th of each month, but we 9/11 is a Sunday,…

                    • Flag Accounts to Alert when a patient turns 18

                      It would be helpful if Dentrix had a way to flag patients accounts so when a child turns 18 we are alerted to update their forms since they are now legally an adult.

                      • To find out if there are claims that have been batched but not sent

                        I would like to be able to run a report to show if there are claims that have been batched but never sent out to insurance. Currently there is not a way to find this out. I would like to make sure there are no claims just sitting there waiting to be sent and only batched.

                          Would like to have a 3rd and a 4th insurance section. We have many now especially with adult children still on their parents insurance.

                          • G6 Clincal Notes sorts in REVERSE procedure code number and REVERSE tooth number order

                            This is a software sorting error that started after we upgraded G5 to G6 and stayed when we went to G6.1. The Appointment Book is putting things in the correct order when the appointment is made. The error occurs when you press the set complete button in the Appointment Book. It is sorting the procedure codes in Descending order instead of Ascending order like it should (and how it used to under G5). it is sorting by Tooth Number in Descending order instead of Ascending order like it should (and how it used to under G5).                               • An area to add the reasons we referred a patient to any specialist.

                                In the patient's family file we need an area to add the reasons we referred a patient to any specialist. If you have an office trying to limit paper chart use this would be extremely helpful. We can add to patients who frequent specialist why they're going to them each individual time

                                  We see this often in a pediatric clinic. Alerts help but it would be much more simple just to have a drop down box that would indicate the relationship to a dependent child. It is common to have multiple parents within the family file due to their insurance coverage.

                                    As I am trying to purge insurance plans, there is a pop up that states I can not delete due to an outstanding claim. I have run every report and searched the patients ledger and can not find this outstanding claim. My request is to please offer more information than just - this patient has an outstanding claim and the insurance plan can not be deleted.

                                      There is no way to tell who has been contacted on the Unscheduled List, because of this, it's taking a lot of time to go through each appointment and read the notes so we are not calling a patient every day.

                                        Whenever putting in a new flag, you must select from the list of 33 items as to where you want your flag to pop up.

                                        If we are posting a financial flag, I select the same 15 items every time.

                                        It would be great if I can save my settings so that if it is something financial, I can have it apply to the same 15 items I always select and not have to scroll through the list of 33 and select.

                                        • Re-allocate payments to correct patient

                                          We used to be able to re-allocate a payment to a different family member and with G6 we can no longer do that. Now my staff has to have me delete the payment or do an adjustment. I thought we would like the new G6 payment allocation options for providers, but it does not work the way we thought it would.
